Appearance: a deep garnet red. Perfect clarity. A small white to off white head that fades fairly quickly to nothing.
Smell: lots of caramel malts, very strong amber-like aroma. Tropical fruits but a low bitterness. Tropical fruit notes at papaya or guava. Quite a sweet beer and low alcohol for a strong ale
Taste: opens up with caramel malts. Quite sweet and strong. Backend full of those tropical fruits that come of sweet and slightly sour. Extremely low bitterness and low alcohol potency. Tropical fruits are hard to place but I believe are most like papaya and guava.
Mouthfeel: fairly heavy and very sticky. Slightly refreshing considering what it is
Overall: a pretty good beer. It's unlike anything I have had and has a lot of good flavor. The slight sourness keeps it interesting. I think it could use a bit of malt diversity.
