22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy deep ruby red/copper color with a small fairly dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to nothing fairly quickly. Minimal glass lacing and a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal hops; with big meaty red/green/yellow bell peppers, and herbal/spicy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and bell pepper notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and herbal hops; with meaty red/green/yellow bell peppers, and herbal/spicy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, bell peppers, and herbal/spicy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and bell pepper flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very minimal heat present in the taste and finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice bell pepper red ale style. All around good robustness and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and authentic bell pepper flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced spice and minimal heat of the peppers. A very enjoyable offering.
