Shared with Kyle.

A - Poured into a hill farmstead tulip a dark brown hue with a thin head that fades to leave thin wisps.

S - Aromas of lactose, vanilla cream, faint chocolate. Nice sweetness.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with good lactose sugars and creamy vanilla. Almost graham cracker notes. Really almost angel food cake like.

M - Mouthfeel is creamy, nicely smooth.

O - Overall this beer was rather tasty, nice cheesecake like finish. Solid.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but was released fairly recently to the area. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, cream cheese, caramel, toffee, vanilla, light coffee, toast, dark bread, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, cream cheese/vanilla, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, cream cheese, caramel, toffee, vanilla, light coffee, toast, dark bread, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, cream cheese, caramel, toffee, vanilla, light coffee, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, cream cheese/vanilla, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and slightly chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome milk stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, cream cheese/vanilla, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Excited to try this one. Sounds like it would be a tasty brew. Pours a thick black with a beige head. Smells like vanilla and Swiss mix powder. Taste reminds me of Swiss mix. It's also very sweet to me, I'm guessing there is lactose in here. It's a decent brew, but the sweetness is a bit too much fir this to be a homerun.

They should take a break from the 22oz bottling line. Everything off of it ends up souring.
This couldn't have been bottled but within the last few weeks, a prominent vinegar scent already exists. Taste it still comes off like some fruit, which doesn't work terribly with the vanilla and stout, but I would say is going to regress.
A little sweet, a little thin, easy to drink right now. Not going to be easy to drink shortly I'm guessing.

Their 12 oz barrel aged bottles and draft stuff have been fine, just the big format bottles are poor for some reason.

Another solid offering from Hideout, my second of the evening. Pours pitch black from glass to trusty ol' tulip glass. Aggressive pour yields two fingers effervescent tan head that is quickly gone to a thin cap, leaving plenty of spotty, sticky lacing on the glass. Damn if the thing doesn't smell like vanilla cheesecake, with a bit of stringent vanilla extract odor and some roast. Mouth feel is smooth and thick, thicker than the Tiramisu Stout I had earlier. Taste follows closely to the aroma, with a small roasty bite on the end.
