This batch was listed as 10% abv. Poured black with brown highlights. A dark tan head recedes pretty quickly. Roasted malt and chocolate aromas. Flavors are a good balance of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, molasses with vanilla hints. Medium bodied and fairly creamy. Good drinkability with the alcohol well subdued. Pretty good from a place that has not gotten much press. Unique location to boot.

Nearly pitch black in color with a small layer of golden bronze foam. Hops, mocha, and coffee round out the aroma. There is a brief smokiness to the smell also. The taste is similar to the smell. This is a very heavily hopped stout. I've never had one that was loaded with so much hop flavor, but I think I like it this way. It has a nice bitterness to the finish, but not excessive at all. This is an awesome tasting stout. Mouthfeel is full and heavy with good carbonation. I'd have to say this is my favorite of Hideout's offerings. Very, very nicely done.
