Dec 2016 vintage. 650ml bottle Poured into a tulip glass.

Pour: medium brown. One finger tan head that dissipates pretty quickly. No lacing to speak of.

Nose: peanuts, chocolate.

Taste: peanuts, dark sweet malts, chocolate. Pretty mild and well balanced.

Mouthfeel: lightly carbonated. Not real thick but about right for a porter.

Overall: one of the better peanut butter beers I’ve tried. Not sure I would buy another but it was enjoyable.

Description: Appearance is brown with a small amount of tan head. Smell is peanut first and foremost with little to no chocolate although there is a roasty character to it. To quote myself and few others I shared this beer with, the taste is "not good". It's bitter, maybe somewhat a baking chocolate kind of taste and very little of the peanut from the aroma. Pretty bland and had sort of metallic or rusty flavor to it. Again, "not good". Body is light and feel is thin with a medium amount of carbonation.

Overall: 3.25 (This beer is below average and I would not drink it again) Peanut butter, chocolate and beer are all good, but this beer was a big miss. Flavor and smell did not line up with what was expected at all. I ended up drain pouring this, so needless to say, take a pass.
