On-tap at the brewery/restaurant.
A: Served black in color with a finger of thick dark brown head that faded into a wispy collar and scum. Great sheets of tight lacing were left down the glass.
S: Rich notes of roasted malts and dry grains. I get oatmeal-esque flavors and a touch of bakers chocolate and sweet chocolate syrupy.
T: Follows the nose with sweet and mellow flavors of roasted oats and grains with a touch of caramel and chocolate syrupy. The finish is sweet and there is no bitterness to the aftertaste.
M: Medium body with a bit of chew to the mouthfeel. Full carbonation but not tingly or distracting.
O: Really drinkable and smooth. Great creamy mellow flavors. Went well with the meal.

On tap at EJ Phairs in Concord. Poured into a pint glass. Didn't catch the abv.
A-Based on the lighting in the room it pours black with a nice one finger tan head that is bubbly and has some nice retention. Nice streaks of lace are left on the side of the glass.
S-Great malty nose. Perfect balance of roasted malt and chocolate malt. Hints of milk and vanilla are apparent as it warms.
T-Follows the nose. It has a nice roasted flavor that does not dry out the mouth. The sweet malt provides a great balance. Notes of coffee and vanilla are picked up. Nice lingering sweet malt flavor remains between sips.
M-Creamy and smooth. Fuller bodied but it is not a gut bomb.
D-One of the best versions of the style that I have tried. Lower abv makes this extremely sessionable.
Another good beer from Schooners. I need to make my way out there and try some more stuff.

Dark color. Full, light brown head. Very impressively aromatic for a low abv Oatmeal Stout. Chocolate, roast & more. Flavors are very powerful, with hints of chocolate and roast. Milky, creamy body. Nice balance. A A+ compared to other Oatmeal Stouts.

Thanks to hopdog for opening up this hand filled 22 ouncer...
Appears black with a deep chestnut hue. A small tan head slowly fades out. Scattered streaks of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of cream, light sourness, cocoa, roasted nuts, and rolled oats.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a mild sweetness up front, dark fruit, and cocoa.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, light tartness with a semi-dry finish and a mild syrup lingering on the palate with a hint of astringency.
