Hey look I'm the first person to write a review for this beer at a closed place. Yet another review from yesteryear at the Bistro's 8th annual double ipa festival on February 9, 2008 with Mel. Although I see it was also at the 7th annual one, but I didn't try it/take notes of it. In fact it was at all the DIPA fests it seems going back to the 5th.
Anyways, this was that golden to light amber/orange color of beer, 1/3" white head. Mostly a C pine and grapefruit hop nose to it.
Taste keeps draping the tongue in all that bitter citrus rind. Mouth feel is plenty sticky, thick, almost syrup-esque. Plenty of those caramel notes. Alcohol definitely there, feeling the burn and sting on this. IBUS seem around the 100+ range. Wait, I have the info right here, says its 130 ibus, jeez. There was a lot of good beers had on this day, but this one scored on the low end of the spectrum.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
