Light in body with the beautiful golden straw color that is a hallmark of the genre, Pontchartrain Pilsner's thoughtfully crafted blend of German Northern Brewer, Hallertauer Perle and Spalter hops imbue it with a wonderful mellow aroma, complemented by a smooth, lightly hopped finish.

My old neighbor from Oswego gave me a bottle of this. It poured a slightly hazy yellow with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had grass like flare. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp grass hop presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent pilsner.

Got one on tap at Blind Pelican, NOLA, 25/XII/2017.
Nothing special. Quite sour at first and then turned bitter from the hops. Just a normal hoppy pilsner, nothing special.

Pours a clear, gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of wheat, hint of hops, and some distinct herbal/grassy aroma. Fits the style of a German Pilsner. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, slight sweet malt, hint of wheat, hint of hops, and some distinct herbal/grassy aroma. Overall, weaker appearance, good aroma, blend, and feel, but the herbal/grassy flavor dominates.

Decent. Needs more carbonation. Nice relaxing flavor.
