Served in a standard pint with a lemon. The beer is gold and clear with a slight chill haze.
The nose is of banana bubble gum and some grass. The clove notes are very light.
The taste tracks very close to the smell. Banana, bubble gum and not a whole lot else. Something is missing here. I added the lemon after 1/2 the beer and that helped. Maybe this brewed for the Leines Honey Weise crowd?
The mouth is to thin and reminds me of almost a light beer.
This beer needs a bit of work to meet the bartenders praise. No better than pedestrian.

Originally reviewed on September 17, 2005. On tap at the Big Lake Brewfest. Standard lemon, clove and hexane aroma. Cloudy lemon yellow pour, no head. Flavor is a standard wheat run. Feels extremely watery. Nothing outstanding. However, clean, so it's not detracting, really.
