Like most beers at the Old Hayward, this one is served in a standard pint glass. The beer is copper with a thick beige head.
It has a big pine and caramel malt aroma.
The taste is nicely bitter, pine and citrus lead followed by lots of caramel malts. Well balanced.
The mouth has decent heft and a touch of coating oiliness.
This is a well-made apa and by far the best beer I've had here. Well done South Shore!
Beers now come from South Shore in Ashland.
