Cask. Very dark chestnut colour with a thin dense head. Sticky lacing.
A light roasted malt aroma.
A placid flavour reflecting the smell. More balanced than most milds.
A thin body. Cask conditioned feel.
A reasonably decent low ABV mild like from the olden days.

Hand pulled pint in The Crown Inn (Oakengates) on 29th March 2012.
Lovely looking deep, dark ruby red tinge to the body: on top a rich, creamy, tan coloured head sat and stayed.
The aroma was of mildly burnt malts with a hoppy undertone.
The taste followed the nose but with extra flavours to savour: little chocolate and vanilla notes added to the roasted/toasted/burnt maltiness with again a hop presence that stopped the beer becoming too sweet or malty.
Nice blend and a fine mild.
