Notes from GEN Sutter's 28 August 2009 Cask Night.
A thin finger of bone-white head with low retention coming off of the hand pump. Color was a beautiful golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Sunshine in a glass on a rainy afternoon! Nose had a slightly grassy hoppiness, but nothing really stand-out. Mouthfeel was a little thin with a mixture of muted hops and muted malt in the mouth. Finish was mildly dry, refreshing certainly, but I probably would have liked it better on a warmer day. Can't have it all, eh? My overall reaction was slight and muted. Brewer Steve Jones tells me it was dry hopped with Bramling Cross hops. So be it.

Pours a nice amber red. Lacing stays throughout the life of the beer. Bitter hops on the nose. Smooth nice blend of flavors.
Very refreshing, which is expected for a summer brew. I've tried several other summer's lately that have been let downs. I mixed this with some of the other favorites and it held its own. Not overly complex, but not a watered down maco either.
Just tried this the other day before a rain out at Camden Yards. I'll need to update the review, once I can try it without a mouthfull of peanuts.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
