Named for the postal code of regal Chelsea where Jennifer and I made the first ever batch of Oliver Ale. A medium bodied English amber that makes great company for burgers and sandwiches.

Pours golden amber with a thin white head.
The smell is of caramel, yeast (Ringwood) butterscotch and a hint of citrus.
The taste is of a nice balance of caramel sweetness with English hop bitterness - earthy, citric, slightly herbal. There's a hint of diacetyl and yeast. It has a mild nutty character. Nicely balanced finish.
Medlium-bodied and very drinkable - a good one to pair with a beef sandwich or burger.

This is a pint served at The Wharf Rat in Baltimore, MD. The ale is chilled but warming.
Appearance: The ale looks quite dark from the outset but reveals an nice amber color when examined closely. There is ample head that quickly dissapates.
Smell: The ale has a quick sharp flash of hops before revealing a nutty malt body.
Taste: The malts give the ale a sweet taste, not fruity sweet but a grainy sweet. There is a light hop kick that doesn't add much except for balance.
Mouthfeel: The ale has a good flavor that is not too strong.
Drinkability: The abv is moderate, making this a good drinkin' ale.
