Appears a transparent gold with a small, off white head that quickly fades out into a mild cap. Scattered speckles of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of earthy, herbal, piney, and sweet malty notes.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas. I tossed back and forth as to the enjoyability of this and I found it intriguing enough to keep drinking, so that can't be a bad thing.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, mildly spiced, notes of fruit, and semi-dry.

Poured into a plastic cup (day of an O's game), it pours with an amber body with a finger-thick, dense pale-tan head ~ pretty basic; nothing special. Aroma is of some sweet pine trees with a slight apple cider aroma with maybe just a tad of vinegar that kind of bothers me; pale grainy malts also of note. Sipping leaves a sweet "Octoberfest"-like taste with some bittering hops coming toward the swallow. A slight bit of alcohol comes in at the end as well. Prickly carbonation comes ahead of a smooth medium body. Tingly alcohol phenol finish after the swallow. Could be more drinkable if not so sweet.

Poured just last night in Fells Point. Comes off as a red tinged golden with a hefty merangue of an off white head. Nice retention and lacing.
Aromas of esters, alcohol, and fruits.
Same flavors come through, though smooth and creamy like a cask English ale. Alcohol stays in the background, never ruining the flavor by making its presence known.
Finished lightly sweet, but clean. Very drinkable. I blame several lost pool games on enjoying too many of these.
