An imperial pint, served on nitro, at the Wharf Rat. Despite the note regarding Coventry, this one was labelled Manchester.
A: The cream ale is a golden copper color, lighter on the spectrum. The nitrogenated head is creamy with a cascading head. The nitro allows the head to lace in strata in my glass.
S: The nose is malty smooth, mildly sweet. Hops, toned down by the nitrogen, are earthy and herbal.
T: The smoothness, driven by both the chewy English malts and the nitrogen, is fantastic. The malts are bready with soft fleshy fruits and lactic creaminess. Hops are herbal but not a significant driver in the taste department. The nitrogen has smoothed out those hops and amplified the malts to nice effect. A great way to end the night.
M: The mouthfeel, creamy to begin with, moves to the next level on nitro. The sweetness lingers, infusing every sip.
D: Like liquid gold, so smooth that, before you know it, half of the pint is gone.

Had at the Pratt Street Ale House on nitro-tap.
A - Dark amber, and clear. Thick white foamy head that lasts the entire way down. Lacing all the way.
S - Not much here, very very light subtle sweetness with some latently metallic smell.
T/M - Phenomenal, very much surprised by the taste. Very nice light sweetness. Slightly milky/cream soda flavor. Frothy and fills your mouth and finishes clean. Exceptional mouthfeel.
D - Incredibly drinkable. Could have this all night and day and night and day and...

I had this at Castle Bay Irish Pub. They apparently are expanding and have no beer on tap that they brew. Anyway back to The cream ale. It poured a gorgeous hazy gold with an amazing guiness like head to the beer. It needed to settle for a minute at least. The smell was very light some vanilla, a little hops, very sweet. The taste was great; vanilla, then malts then a little hops. The mouthfeel was extremely refreshing and creamy but actually a little heavier. It was a good beer but it filled me up a little. It was a great looking beer.

Poured from a nitro-keg at Friscoe's Grille, Columbia, MD.
A- Poured a deep amber with a beautiful, creamy, off-white head.
S- Very little there, a little sweet malt.
T- Starts off with a nice sweet malt profile, but turns sour as the beer warms in the glass.
M- Nice and creamy, smooth.
D- A decent beer if drank quickly enough.

This pours a clear amber with a large Guiness like foamy head. The smell is lighter than I expected and I was alittle dissappointed. The only aromas I could get was a little malt. The taste is a bit thin, but not too bad. Malt is the king of this beer with just a tiny bit of hops to make it more balanced. The m/f is light and as I said well balanced. This is a good beer, but there is nothing all that exciting about it.

Appearance - amber in color, almost black. very white head atop the large body of beer in front of me.
Smell - lots of malt, little cream
Taste - some bitter to it, but more caramel than anything else.
Mouthfeel - very easy to drink, especially after some of their other great beers.
Drinkability - loved it. easy to drink.

This was one of the best beers I've had in a while. On tap for several weeks at Max's on Broadway, this luscious item was great from its first appearance to the wonderful finish. Milky brown in color topped with an even lighter head, this stuff smelled great; malty and fresh. Max's listed the alcohol closer to 5% but the mouthfeel was silky and full, with a very satisfying flavor and it kept going on. Absolutely excellent.

Appearance: arrived with the cascading head in full build. Slightly hazy amber in color. The head when it settles down lasts quite a while. Some soft lacing develops.
Smell: some plain malt sweetness, not much else.
Taste: very mild malt tones, caramel candy, and some hints of bitterness.
Mouthfeel: creamy and smooth throughout. Very clean finish.
Drinkability: very easy drinking mild flavored beer. Not one to run to, but if you need something to allow your tastebuds to rebound this is the beer to have.

Another fine offering from the folks at Oliver's. The ladies don't like to experiment. So, if the Vanilla Ice is tapped, there is a good chance that the Manchester Cream ale will be poured.
Brownish amber liquor with a super creamy off white head. Excellent retention and lacing (the nitro pour probably helps)
Very faint malty aroma.
Super creamy and smooth ale. Mostly just smooth, subtle malts, though there is a hint of vanilla. Cream is an appropriate word for this one.
Finishes clean and worth ordering several.
