I had some apprehensions prior to ordering this one. It had a different tap handle--some sort of hand made light brown colored one witha Toucan on the handle. Said toucan and "two can" on it, so I figured that it was some sort of mistake beer they were trying to get rid of. Instead, it was a one-off created by guest brewer Barrett Lauer from the Chop House in DC.
Dark clear brown with a finger full of tannish head. Excellent retention and lacing.
Dark malty aromas
This was a very robust brown ale. For the sketchy price, I was expecting something pedestrian and watered down. It was very full flavored with loads of caramel, molasses and brown sugar. Medium bodied and finished clean.
"Two can buy you a pint" and it is a super value. We should have come here and started with these all day.
