Nitro tap at Pratt Street Ale House. I'd have to agree with the other reviews so far of the wrong class. Pretty sure it was listed at the Ale House as a Golden Ale. Onto the review...
Appearance: This a quite a little beauty golden ale with a creamy white head.
Light caramel malt and english hops make for balanced aroma. It also smelled a little yeasty
The flavor was a great balance of English hops with a bit of creamy caramel malt that mixes in well. Pretty fantastic example of the style. Exceptionally creamy and smooth all the way through the finish.

On nitro-tap at Pratt St. Ale House on 11/20/10. I don't believe this was listed as a Biere de Garde on their beer menu, but rather a Golden Ale.
A - The light amber/orange liquid cascaded to reveal a wall of bubbles and a finger's worth of creamy off-white head that transformed into thick, attractive lacing around the edges of the glass.
S - The temperature of the liquid was a bit too cold at first, which prevented me from getting a really good initial whiff. At first, some buttery diacetyl and faint muted hop character emerged, giving the ale a somewhat sweet and non-descript aroma. As it warmed up a bit, a hint of grass and citrus peel emerged.
T - Flavor opens with a sweet malt character suggesting caramel, toffee and butterscotch, then switches gears a bit to reveal a slight grassy and citrusy hop character. There is a faint buttery presence, which doesn't really detract from the flavor too much. Finishes with a moderate herbal hop bite.
M - Medium bodied with a smooth nitro mouthfeel that is perhaps a tad watery but pleasant nonetheless. Finishes with a semi-dry, moderate lingering bitterness on the palate.
D - Pretty good hoppy English-style ale with a pleasant lingering bitterness that never gets too heavy-handed.

On cask at Max's today.
The beer pours an orangy gold color with OK head retention and minimal lacing. Don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some orange candy and sweet ice tea. Flavors on the palate mostly show some light sweet malt, that quickly is pushed aside by some light bitterness. The finish in on the dry side, and the low carbonation in this case can't disguise the thin mouthfeel. It's not quite what I would describe as watery, but certainly I'd like to see a bit more flavor in this one. Drinkability is OK, as one would expect given the abv., but there just isn't enough flavor to describe this as really drinkable.
Mehhhh... an OK beer, but nothing to get too excited about either. Interestingly, the Oliver's biere de garde is described on the menu as a farmhouse ale, while this is described as a biere de garde. Whatever...
