Appearance: slightly hazy orange in color with a 2" head that slowly falls.
Smell: mild caramel and some bready tones are detectable. Floral hop bitterness is soft.
Taste: caramel, bread, hint of orange citrus, some fruit sweetness, and a floral hop bitterness arrives late.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp to start, less crisp and a touch dry at the finish. Short aftertaste here.
Overall: a basic pale ale that is well balanced and is easy to drink. Not overly hoppy as the bartender explained it would be.

Reviewed from notes. On cask.
Pours from the cask with an amber color and an off white head. The nose is some nice malt with a bit of sweetness and fits in well with a bit of hops. The taste is a bit plain but fits hops and malt fairly well. Good feel and nice carbonation. Drinks well but there's nothing terribly special about it.

a- A very nice red copper. Very little head but this is a growler. What head there is leaves nice lacing as I drink.
s-What I think is a crystal malt sweetness.Maybe some biscuit as well. Very inviting.
t- Taste follows smell here with some bitterness on the finish.
m- Feels well attenuated, some chalkiness on the finish and a mouth coating of malt.
d- Hides its abv very well. I have drunk almost a whole growler in 4 hours and this is very rare for me. Like this beer a lot.

Served in a snifter at ChurchKey.
Yet another random cask offering from Pratt Street at the CK. I just can't help myself, can I? This particular brew pours a clear copper topped by a small bubbly...yeah, i guess you can call that a head. The smell is rather sweet, emphasizing cane sugar, honey and a light bit o' maple syrup. Some wildflowers pop up along the road during the olfactory journey as well. The aforementioned maple darkens up a bit in the flavor, where it is joined by some light brown sugar, greenery, and a pimp-slap of hoppy bitterness. I didn't see that coming, but I'm also not gonna press charges for the assault. not my way, man. The body straddles the line between heavy medium and light heavy, with almost no carbonation (it is cask-conditioned, after all) and a slightly thick feel. Not bad, but not overly exciting either. Kinda ho-hum given the name and surprising ABV. Still kinda drinkable, though. You should try some.

On cask at Churchkey, served in a snifter. Beer is yellow and slightly hazy but mostly clear. There is no head, carbonation low, and no lacing.
Aroma is mild and malty. Pretty nice.
I know this is on cask but this beer is oxidized slightly and its starting to go down. The malty backbone is still there but the flavors are getting softer and weaker. Bitter in back and medium body overall. I'd want to try this on draft.

Nice malty cask serving with a long and pleasing finish coated with a soft hoppy touch.
Presentation: 16 oz cask offering. Short description noting main characteristic of the style and brew, menu also notes Alc. by Vol (6% whereas the brewer noted 8% on their website) Served in a pint shaker glass.
A - Deep amber pour with a rich creamy head, good retention and nice lacing. Quite the eye-catcher for a cask serving.
S - There is a rich malty sweet range with a caramel hint, touch of floral hops in the back.
T - Taste follows with a caramel malt sweetness and a nice hoppy balanced bite touches the malt profile lightly as it finishes.
M - Medium body, minimal soft carbonation that works pretty with a great smooth and creamy finish.
D - High drinkability, in particular if one is eager to enjoy the malty and caramel sense with a light hoppy touch. Nice balance and eager to have a second serving.
Notes: Pretty nice cask offering from Pratt Street. Nothing pale about it really... But it was a very welcome surprise. It seems to have a been a one-off offering at the ale house in Baltimore for now, and at least one cask made it to DC. I'll sure be glad to see them brewing this one again in the future.
