"Flames 8% abv Our tribute to the greatest album cover art of all time … “Jesus Use Me” by The Faith Tones. The beer was originally to be called Jesus Use me but the powers that be shot us down at the last minute! Brewed with a base of Golden Promise & Halcyon with a little crystal and malted wheat, bittered with Falconer’s Flight and Australian Topaz, finished with Liberty and Columbus, this golden ale will put you on a righteous path (maybe!)"
From 09/22/12 notes at the brewpub. Listed as a golden ale, reminded me of an amber, but good none the less. Served in a pint glass.
a - Pours a amber, reddish-yellow color with one inch of white head and low carbonation evident. Looks pretty nice.
s - Smells of fruity malts, bready malts, toasted malts, and some caramel malts.
t - Tastes of fruity malts, light citrus hops, bready malts, caramel, toasted malts, and burnt malts.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink.
o - Overall a pretty nice golden/amber ale. Nice and malty, and easy to drink. Would certainly have it again.
