A - Slightly hazy at first that settles into a crisp light golden brown. Healthy creamy white head that settles into a very nice lacing.
S - A little faint but smells of apples, grass and some general maltiness.
T - A grassy and maltly base with the malts being fairly grainy with a slight bread taste as well. A lot of apple and some lemon taste as well are on top of this throughout the sip. Some earthy and herbal hop flavors come in and out. Well balanced beer with some sweetness, some tartness, and some bitterness.
M - Medium to light body. Very smooth and creamy.
D - Very easy to drink. The mouthfeel is quite smooth so it goes down easy. The flavors are well balanced and make me want to drink more. Quite refreshing.
Notes: Very much a session beer on cask. Well balanced with a number of general flavors. Also it is quite smooth and refreshing. Not a beer that will necessarily jump out at you, but one that will build while drinking it, and refresh you at the same time.

Tasted this bottle-conditioned beer on 15 May 05, which has a BBE date of Feb. 06.
Appearance: served in my Fullers ESB goblet, it pours a little hazy, light yellow-golden colour, with medium level of carbonation and a very thin white beerheadreally there is nothing to write home about.
Smell: at the first sniff, refreshingly lemony fruity aroma with faint honeyish note approaches, mixed with a bit grassy and even cider-like acidic note but after two minutes, the acidic side of the nose steals the stage and prevails ever since. Not very pleasant for a pale ale.
Taste & Aftertaste: overly "stimulating" mouthfeel at first, with quite acidic taste following on, finished with an extremely intensive bitter and dry hoppy aftertaste and chewable nutty palate. Overall only the aftertaste is enjoyable, which balances the rest of the taste which scores the lowest amongst all kinds of British ales Ive reviewed on this website
Mouthfeel & Drinkability: to me, the body is really too thin, quite unlike what the beer label suggestsblonde, full bodied, goes down well. If served on cask, I might reconsider giving this beer another chance; but I am pretty sure I wont spend a penny on its bottle-conditioned version anymore...
