L- Between very dark amber and light brown. Clear, pours with 2mm white head.
S- Smells rather like a bitter to me, no modern-hopping (tropical fruits of an IPA) here.
T- Quite rich (a touch sweet) on the front. Broad toasty middle and dryer into the finish.
F- Pretty versatile year-round session beer. Carbonation is pretty low-key/trad.
O- I don't really get the somewhat sweet edge; might this be pitched at Asian tourists many of whom don't favour bitter tastes (x-ref: the 'Asian Bitter Gene')? I can finish it but wouldn't go out and buy more of it.
Bought by my wife in Stratford-Upon-Avon, she said 'in the [*the*] Shakespeare Shop', perhaps something more official than the usual tourist outlets. Priced on lable £3.50/pint. BB: Hard to see, but after much searching in small print within the bar-code = 10/2020.
ps. ABV% apparently varies between draft and bottle versions. My bottle states 5.0%.

Draught - gravity fed. Clear dark gold. Minimal head.
A nicely balanced hop/malt aroma.
Light malt to begin followed by a scant hop bitterness.
Fantastically well conditioned. Medium body.
Straightforward bitter.
