Copenhagen 23/9 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Usual Fur design with a bizarre fossil in sombre colors.
Pours very dark brown with a red hue and big off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is dark, sweet and smoky. Caramel, brown sugar, molasses, lightly smoked malts, tobacco.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft and creamy texture. Slightly sticky.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by somewhat lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with some bitter coffee notes. Lingers for a long while.
Solid porter. Does more or less what it is supposed to.

50 cl bottle courtesy of Papsoe. Aroma is sweet and malty with some organic smelling puppy breath notes that are a cross between steeping grains, chocolate and coffee. A little muted ont he whole and leaning to the sweet side, but decent smelling. The body is a very ruddy brown that is entirely to light colored for a porter. Looks like an amber ale and I have seen darker Barley Wine. Has a diminishing, but well formed, tan white head that is about a pinky thick.
Fore is fairly smokey with some light on the tongue sweet malt flavors and none of the promised anise or licorice hints. Seems much more akin to a smoky brown or amber ale than a porter. The smokiness really ramps up as it warms and becomes the dominant feature in a fairly narrow range of flavor. Still for all the negatives I could see some people really digging this for its consistent, but not over the top, smoky flavor.

Poured from bottle.
Appearance: Dark brownish black with slightly redish head that disapaites rapidly.
Smell: Weird smell, a bit soft. Overwhelmingly salty with a hint of chocolate.
Taste: Starts rather lightly with a slightly salty and carbinated front and then one gets a roasted flavor. Not overwhelmingly roasted but more bitter.
Mouthfeel: Smooth with carbonation on the front of the palate.
Drinkability: A good drink that I'd like to have again but wouldn't kill for. I liked how it didn't go overboard trying to push the style.

500 ml bottle, bought in Hvide Sande, Denmark. ABV is 6.5%. Nearly black colour (= very dark brown to ruby), large tan head. Roasty aroma, notes of coffee and chocolate, hints of leather and liquorice. Roasty flavour with coffee and chocolate, smoother and sweeter than expected. Some bitterness from the roastiness, but the hops are not plentiful. Not very complex, but its a nice and very drinkable porter. Does not quite live up to the high price, though.

This .5 liter guy brought back to me by my bestest biggest brother. Many thanks.
Aroma is soft of dark malt, slightly sweet (molasses like). No roast to speak of and no apparent hops. Not particularly complex, but nice enough.
Clear. Head is bubbly at the first then settles to a creamy biege layer leaving lots of lace. Very dark amber of mahogany browns.
A real subtle profile of darker malts with only a slight roast quality, but nice subtle sweetness start to finish with a dryness that doesn't really linger. Warms up real nicely. Flavors become richer and deeper with increased roast character.
On thin side for style, but with a terrifically soft carbonation. Easy to drink, almost session like.
A remarkedly easy drinking porter. Nicely done but not exceptional. Flavors are just too subtle.
