Copenhagen 14/12 2025. 50 cl bottle from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. As "Fur Bryggerens Julebryg". Red label with some stony patterns in the brewery's usual design.

Pours clear mahogany with a mid-sized white head. Settles as a paper thin and patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, slightly sugary and malty odor. Light notes of grains and butter. Brown sugar, toasted malts, biscuits and jam. Whiff of sour grains.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Lingers for bit. Finish is quite dry,

Straight forward Christmas beer with just the right amount of Christmas. And without cinnamon.

50cl Bottle. Website describes it as a Brown ale, so we'll go with that.
Dull aroma of malt and noble type hops. Very light. Watery quality as well.
Pours with big full tannish head. Lots of lacing in the slow process of falling. Dark amber of dark red to brown. Brilliantly clear.
Strong malty quality, with English style malts most apparent. More towards toast and biscuit with no roast noted. Fairly dry with mild bitterness. No particular esters noted, and little chocolate of note. Hops mostly for bitterness and minimal for taste
Fairly soft feel with moderately heavy body. Feels like an ale, although bottle is unclear. Carbonated nicely.
Seems like a nice English ale of some body and malt character. Drinkable and quite attractive. Brown ale doesn't seem quite right, but close enough.
Many thanks for the bottle Big Guy.
