Copenhagen 19/8 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. What looks like dry, cracked soil in an ominous green shade on the label.
Pours unclear orange with a small bubbly white head. Disappears leaving what looks like a cup of murky healthy, herbal tea behind. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a herbal sourness. Sweet pale malts and oxidized apples. Spruce, pine and unripe, sour berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry and a little sticky.
Like many new nordic beers where they endeavor to use only very local ingredients and for some reason avoids hops it's an exceedingly herbal experience.
