Copenhagen 26/9 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Light green label in Fur´s usual design with a line of pine trees as motif.
Pours dark maroon with a red hue. Mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty and bit toasted odor. Caramel, toffee and a hint of brown sugar. Nuts and toasted bread.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sugary touch. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
A quite sweet Brown Ale. But then again if you are feeling cold in the early morning hours with your pea shooter that might be just what you need.
