Østerby Classic is a characterful bottom-fermented beer of the Wiener type.
Østerby Classic is very flavorful and goes especially well with fried meat and vegetable dishes. Enjoy it - it deserves it.

Copenhagen 24/9 2023. 50 cl bottle brought home from the brewery by my in-laws. Label in Fur Bryghus' usual design with some fossils as motif.
Pours clear copper brown with a big white head. Stable. Settles 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet lightly toasted odor of sweet malts, caramel and toffee. Brown sugar. Hints of nuts. Whiff of sour milk.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft and almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and a bit watery. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet and a bit flat.
