Fur Summer Ale is a top-fermented American Pale Ale.
The aroma is well-balanced with hints of hops and citrus and a base of roasted malt. The taste is aromatic and fruity with a full, bitter-fresh, rounded finish of hops. Fur Summer Ale is brewed with three different malt types and Cascade hops.
The cover image is a more than 55 million year old fossil of a leaf found in Fur.

Copenhagen 3/11 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Yellow, sunny label which should be of a fossil of insect. Seems to be a single hop beer based on cascade hops.
Pours clear, amber with small white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is of stale malts and kind of weak. Dusty, salty, with a sour, bitter tang. Not the expected fruitiness.
Low carbonation. Thin, watery kind of flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while.
Does not get much out of the Cascade Hops. A bit disappointing with a Summer Ale where I mainly notice the malty backbone.
