VULCANO JULEBRYG is a bottom-fermented beer, brewed in the old, proud Danish traditions of strong holiday brews. The taste is round and full-bodied, brewed for Christmas lunch, Christmas roasts and the Christmas spirit. One of the secrets of FUR beer is the famous Fur water, which is filtered through layers of piers and volcanic ash. That is why we have chosen the geological symbol for volcanoes as the brand of our beer.

Copenhagen 20/11 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Very red label with the geological sign for vulcano. They seem to be very preoccupied with the geological properties of their water source at Fur Bryghus.
Pours clear copper with a white head. Settles as a flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is bitter and kind of rough. Some spices and a sharp sourness.
Medium strong carbonation and a watery palate.
Flavor is more round and pleasant than the aroma. Malty sweetness with a little caramel. Quite bitter aftertaste. Lingering.
Not very Christmaslike. But it tastes way better than it smells.
