Fur Frokost is a top-fermented beer of the Bitter Pale Ale type. A calm and clear beer with a color like red-golden amber. Small bubbles with a dense cream-colored head that gives fine lace on the glass.
It has fine hop nuances with aromas of caramel malt, elderflower and fresh citrus fruit. And gives a strong hop experience that continues into a full body of slightly sweet caramel malt - and rounds off in a bitterfresh, fine sweet and well-balanced beer experience.

Copenhagen 29/10 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. The sad remnants of a dead Herring on the label. I do hope that this illustration is not too relevant for this low ABV beer.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is of sweet malts with quite prominent metallic notes. I do not detect much elderberry or citrus as advertised.
Soft carbonation with a watery palate. Gently tingling texture.
Flavor is well balanced. Medium strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness.
Actually quite fine for a lunch. Does not overpower the food. Quite well balanced without being anything special.
