Served from a growler. This is definitely a very nice looking beer, with a deep red shading while held up to a light. When poured there is virtually no head and no lace to speak of. The beer smells of cherries and fruits, while the initial taste is that of cherries, and surprisingly, nuts. A good carbonation on the tongue, as the beer goes down smooth. A very pleasant and warming after taste, making me want to think of this as maybe a 6-7% ABV by comparison to other beers (ABV is not listed on the menu where sold). This is a great dark wheat, which is easily drinkable, and goes well with a good steak or breaded veal meal. A very well balanced brew.

A very nice, dark, roasted color with a decent head but almost with no retention. A dried fruit kind of smell. Had a nice, toasted taste with hints of roasted coffee beans as an aftertaste. Kind of a thin mouthfeel. Pretty drinkable; served with a lemon that, when added to the beer, makes it fruitier and gives it a solid balance to the toasted taste.
