This is a Rauch Dopple Bock.
The liquid is deep brown where light shines through. Good combination of ring lace and spots.
The smell reminds me of bacon. Plenty of hickory smoke with a bit of pork in the background.
I'm not a fan of Rauch beers, but this one is presented with a subtlety I didn't expect: Here's a beer that would lead one to think of a smokehouse yet not be an over-the-top smoky brew. It had a dark malt flavor with a smokiness that isn't too strong. Good body with a neutr carbonation.
