341ml bottle. I'm not entirely sure of any subtleties in meaning lost in translation, but it seems as though DDC/TDD is trying to atone for blending two styles that have little, if anything, in common.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with three pudgy fingers of puffy, frothy, and shiny off-white head, which leaves some consistent hanging curtain lace around the glass as it evenly bleeds off.

It smells of biscuity, crackery pale malt, sharp Belgian yeast, a bit of spicy wheat grain, muddled, and strangely dry tropical fruit, and a soft leafy, grassy hoppiness. The taste is an obvious blend of pale and wheat malt, crisp and edgy all, a yeasty breadiness, white grapefruit and lemon sort of diverging from the particular fruitiness of the aroma, soft black pepper notes, and herbal, earthy hops.

The bubbles are certainly quite active, and kind of overly fizzy at times, the body an adequate medium weight for either style, and tacitly smooth, the yeast calling the shots here. It finishes dry, dry, dry, the fruitiness giving up the ghost entirely, while the fused malts, yeast, and understated spice linger on.

While not exactly a gong-show, the various characteristics of the two input styles still seem to be uncomfortable sitting so close to each other. I guess the impression most indelible to me here is of a decent dry pilsner, with a yeast filtering problem. Nice try, tongue in cheek (I think) marketing angle and all, but I can't see wanting another of these - there's just too much canceling effect at play.

341ml bottle poured into tulip 6/10/14, cheers Phyl21ca for the bottle

A milky bright yellow, lots of tiny bubbles feeding a short lived finger of foam that leaves lots of random lace deep down the glass

S wheat and lemon rind come out strong, spice and big floral notes, yeasty, some fruit I can't place, some Sunny D perhaps

T mimics the smell, fruity, spicy, and floral, there's something in the background that's hard to place and working against the cause, kinda tangy with lots of citrus

M a little thin and foamy, gritty and slimy at the same time, lots of citrus peel and spice on the finish

O its alright but not the quality I expect from DDC, has something in the background that's not bad but not desirable either

OK beer but considering who brewed it I'm a little disappointed, I suppose it would worry me if a brewery hit every style bang on

A collaboration between Le Trou du Diable and Dieu de Ciel from Quebec. Very unique for a Pilsner. I'm getting lots of pink grapefruit. It's not according to style but it's quite enjoyable.

Poured from a 341ml bottle, bottled 06-14.

Pours a light yellow body with an off white head and lots of racing bubbles. Aroma is wheat and faint fruit. Flavor is delicate, floral and has faint fruit in it but very mild. Body is decent but i`m disappointed with this offering considering the breweries that are involved.

Appearance: It has a nice hazy pale golden/yellow color to it. It has a nice white head that dies down moderately fast and leaves some spotty lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of citrus, light grapefruit, herbal/grassy hops and wheat malts.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some citrus, light grapefruit and lemon, herbal hops, faint grass and some wheat.

Mouthfeel: It has a med/high carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by decent flavors and aromas.

Ce soir: La Divine Comedie Wit Pils du Purgatoire by Le Trou du Diable and Dieu du Ciel. Picked this up in Quebec City. Nose is a bit peppery with tropical fruits. Taste is a typical wit with a good bitterness and smooth finish.
