Appearance: Another perfect obsidian Stout from DDC, with only the faintest of blood red hues with a solid, compact head.
Smell: Chocolate slivers and ground coffee nose, with a twist of sourness reminiscent of a raspberry vinaigrette.
Taste: Creamy smooth (I forgot to ask if it was nitro or not, but I don't think it was. It would have been even better if it was), the fruity astringency holds on to the palate and doesn't let go. Again, DDC make a 7.5% Beer taste like it didn't have more than 5%ABV. Taste is like sucking on a cocoa powdered cherry pit. No sweetness here, the sourness of the cherry and the bitter of the stout makes it fascinating experience, but their other cherry-flavored offering, Solstice d'été, steals the show for me once more.
