341ml bottle poured into tulip.
Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with one finger of white head that leaves some cool Celtic carving lace as it recedes.
Smells of fresh lemonade, sugared red grapefruit, sour candies, green apple, crackery malt, a bit of pine and some leafy, floral hops.
Tastes of more tart lemon and apple, unsalted cracker, grapefruit zest, a bit of cheesy funk, soft pine resin and more grassy, leafy hops.
Feels light and lively. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes dry.
Verdict: Recommended. A lot closer to a sour than an IPA, but pretty damn tasty either way.

Body is a dull rose-gold with a faint pink hue, initially pouring a white head, but it recedes to nothing in a dozen seconds.
Aroma is lightly berries, cranberry, accompanied by floral notes of rose, all of it hinting at tart flavours to come; touch of bubblegum.
The sour flavour can only be described as pleasant. It's not aggressive or mouth puckering, but nuanced and and invigorating. Highly drinkable with its super dry finish and pure taste - nothing too distinct standing out, the fruitiness is subtle. I might have thought it was strawberry, apple, cherry, or cranberry. Very low sweetness, some minerality. Medium body and carbonation.
An approachable and refined sour that non-beer drinkers or cider fans might enjoy, and I did too.

on the nose: sour aromas with a hint of hop.
in the mouth: big wave of sour quickly leads to a blast of bitter. Grassy hop notes flicker before a mouthwateringly dry finish enchants the tongue and palate with an even more perfect marriage of bitter and sour.
they call it a Sour IPA and it really delivers! I would say the sour/bitter profiles are pretty much evenly balanced. C'est un fun fou mais il faut aimer l'amer.

Smell: Funky/Candy/Straw.
Taste: Jolly ranchers/Wheat/Lemon.

Look is alright, very thin head and then a collar with minimal lacing.
Smell has elements of fruity candies and then a tart twist.
Taste is mild. I get some of the candies carrying through, but then a bit a of hops and a mild tartness.
Feel is thin and watery. Carbonation is medium high, with a quick slightly bitter finish.
I'd have to call this one a miss from this venerable Quebec brewer. Just lacking flavor in my opinion.

Not sure what souring proces used but the base seems to be an American IPA but with the grapefruity bitterness smoothed out and blended with the funk. The result is almost lemony. It is almost as if the beer lost flavour rather than gaining in depth and complexity. Still good, but alongside other products from this brewery it does not shine.
