Péché Latte is a stout brewed with coffee and lactose. Fuller-bodied than our classic version, its powerful coffee taste is sweetened by the flavor of frothed milk.

Bottled 1/23/23. Fuck, I did not realize I still had this one
This is my second variant of Péché Mortel and I’ve still yet to try the OG. I thought the variant was fine but I don’t necessarily think lactose is the way to make it better, especially not now that it’s almost 2 years old. Curiosity got the best of me I suppose. Let’s dive right in
Pours almost completely pitch black with a finger of creamy light tan head that fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
Well the age really isn’t showing in the nose thankfully, this is quite nice and coffee forward. I’m picking up on aromas of drip coffee, cacao nib, black cherry, burnt toast, molasses, raisin, light brown sugar, and vanilla bean
Things are sweeter in taste but it’s still surprisingly balanced. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet coffee, toffee, raisin, burnt toast, milk chocolate, black cherry, light molasses, and sweet cream. The swallow brings notes of drip coffee, burnt toast, caramel, cacao nib, molasses, black cherry, light black tea, and brown sugar
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a velvety beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out over time
I’ll be damned, this is way better than it has any right to be for a 2 year old Milk Stout with coffee

11.5 fl. oz. bottle
Served in a snifter
Bottled on 2023-01-23
This beer pours black and is topped with a scant, mocha head that fails to leave any lacing. It leaves more of an oily film on the side of the glass.
Roasted malt and black coffee aroma. I get some booze when it approaches room temperature. Dark chocolate.
Dark chocolate flavor with roasted malt and black coffee. Lingering coffee bitterness
Full bodied with a slick, oily mouthfeel
Not really that sweet for a milk stout. Lots of roasted malt and coffee and cocao bitterness

11.5 ounce bottle, bottled 2023-01-13. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, cream, roasted malt and some caramel. Taste pretty much follows the aroma, but there's also some dark bready and earthy flavors noticeable. But as with the aroma, I think the coffee stands out here but without overpowering the other flavors. Nice coffee bitterness but has the sweetness of a milk stout too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, definitely recommend this one to people who like coffee stouts in general!

From a 341ml bottle, dated 01/23/23. Served in a spiegelau tulip glass.
Pours pitch-black with maple highlights and a scant finger of fizzy beige head. Retention is unremarkable, leaving a narrow collar and a barely rousable thin, super-slippery film of oily lacing.
Nose is roasty, nutty and dry. Aromas of perked coffee and molasses.
Taste tracks with the nose to some extent. Strong, dark and bitter coffee front and center, sulfured molasses, nutty, a tart berry note. The sweetness wanders in and out of focus, sometimes nice, like condensed milk and molasses, sometimes a bit less nice, like instant milk powder and stevia.
Feel is smooth and full bodied with fine, prickly carbonation. Some milky slickness in the finish.
Overall, very good. I wouldn’t trade it for regular Péché but still. I was a little conflicted on whether the lactose lent the base beer creaminess or just greasiness. Maybe some of both.

Very dark brown body with a tan head. Smell accentuates the big light roast coffee with vanilla cream, and supporting raisin, roasted malt, and gentle wet earth. Taste is not as rustic, but has a wonderful coffee and cream with a dark fruitiness to boot. Never gets overly metallic or earthy. Feels like an old school coffee milk stout with refined edges, finishes lighter than expected but the journey with the coffee and cool vanilla is pleasant. Beer, it what's for breakfast!

On tap at the brew pub a couple weeks ago!
Although it’s just the regular peche with some lactose, it is really damn good. The sweetness doesn’t overpower, but it does provide some body and balances the roast and the drying boozy finish.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of espresso with some nice lactose notes is quite enticing. Taste is a nice mix of espresso notes with some lactose with some nice sweet black chocolate notes also perceptible. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. This is quite the masterpiece with nice mix of espresso notes with the right amount of sugary notes to make this a dessert treat.
