Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with hazy reddish hue and a large off-white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some vinous notes also perceptible. Taste is a nice mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some vinous notes also perceptible and a dry finish with limited amount of residual sugar. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Red wine notes are easily recognisable and enjoyable with more hops presence then I was expecting.

A:
Pours a pink-tinted straw with 2+ fingers of shaving cream head. Very good retention; sheets of gorgeous lacing. (4.5)
S:
Floral, oranges, fruity-funky-suggestion-of-tartishness, earthy. (3.75)
T:
Doughy with some tannic astringent and faint floral bitterness with a redfruit sweetness underneath it all. (3.75)
M:
Medium body with medium carbonation, subdued barrel character, drinkable. (4)
O:
Decent beer with an interesting contribution from the barrel. It is similar to the standard version with a lot less pop from the hops and whatnot but with a nice earthy, tannic, and surprisingly grape/berry-like sweetness as well. Refreshing and pretty unexpected. (3.75)
