Body is as close to inky black as you could get, forming a low, beautiful cocoa head with middling retention.
Deep dark roasty aromas of coffee coupled with black licorice, molasses, and blackcurrant.
Flavour kicks off with clear cassis flavour and it's muted fruitiness, along with anise, before the rich dark chocolate and coffee rolls in towards the finish; the acidity of the cassis lingers throughout, actually becoming more prominent over time; light carbonation and a medium body, the feel is silky, verging on oily.
The original Peche is outstanding, and some variations are fantastic, but this one is below the average in my opinion, the anise-like flavours of the cassis overpowering.

On tap at Ölrepubliken in Gothenburg.
Pours jet black with creamy, tan head.
Smell is roasted and slightly smoky, with notes of coffee and dark chocolate with a hint of black currant juice.
Taste is roasted with a slight but distinct tartness, and a hint of smoke. Notes of coffee, chocolate and black currant juice.
Mouthfeel is medium and well carbonated.
Overall, a very interesting variant of Peche, but as usual I want a little bit more body.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice huge floral coffee notes with some light acidic notes of black currant. Taste is also a great mix of huge floral coffee notes with some roasted malt, some acidic black currant notes and also no discernible residual sugar notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable coffee stout with nice twist by adding black currant.
