Body is hazy, golden straw, with a vigorous head that owns good retention.
Mild aroma, of white wine, green apple
An odd flavour, there's some sweet reisling wine, crisp grain malt, then mildly pithy bitterness in the finish that I wouldn't call complimentary; a light hint of yeast character, it's giving a sense more of a light lager with a touch of sour then a finish of a pithy IPA; medium body and carbonation, with the feel soft and lightly syrupy feel of a sweet wine.
Haven't tried the regular version, but this has lost it's Belgian character, and really comes up a little flat on the flavour side, with a distracting hop flavour.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of funky Brett notes with some sweet ice wine notes. Taste is a mix of dry Brett notes with some funky ester with some warming ice wine notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is pretty full for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable but actually prefer the pinto noir version.
