Draft: Poured a pitch-black stout with a medium size brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee notes with some light sweet notes form the dulce. Taste is also a mix of strong coffee notes with some black chocolate notes offset by some residual sugar from the dulce. Body is a bit thin for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable coffee stout with body in thinner body than in the regular version.

Color is cola brown on the pour before settling into a deeper brown / black in the glass. Minimal head, but good lacing & legs. While the aroma isn't overly complex, coffee with a hint of caramel sweetness suits me just fine.
Taste is very, very coffee forward. While I'm not a coffee drinker (in fact, I've never even tried coffee), I typically enjoy it quite a bit in beer, which is a good thing because this tastes a lot like what I imagine black coffee tastes like. Interestingly, while I got some sweetness on the nose, I have to strain to detect it on the tongue. Maybe a little shows up on the mostly bitter roast finish.
Overall, I'm definitely enjoying it, but would have appreciated a hair more depth to the beer. That said, it's taken no time at all to drink the first half of this, which if I put aside all the formal "look, smell, taste, feel" stuff may be a better true reflection of how much I'm enjoying it.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with minimal light brown head. The nose is full of chocolate and wonderful coffee aromas. The milk and vanilla are definitely there - comes across as a creamy note. Roasted malts, maple candy. The taste follows the nose, but with a bit more smoky/roasty notes. I have always loved Peche Mortel for keeping the base stout prominent. Same goes for this one. Charred wood, dark fruit, maple, vanilla, chocolate (dark), and a touch of milk. Mouthfeel is fairly creamy. Aftertaste is bitter oak.

Dark brown, approaching black, with two fat fingers of khaki-colored head with unevenly-sized air bubbles and rocky dissipation. Decent retention and nice messy rings of lacing.
Coffee, vanilla custard, distant chocolate and hints of turbinado sugar and cinnamon in the nose.
Intensely dark coffee flavors as expected. The “dulce de leche” vanilla custard sweetness hit up front, but often times was quickly overshadowed by the coffee’s very strong bitterness.
The feel, while somewhat creamy, comes across much lighter than other variants in this iteration. (High marks for the perfectly unobtrusive carbonation though.)
By far my least favorite Péché to date. In some sips, the flavors balance out okay. In others, the bitterness of the coffee completely clashes with the sweetness of the milk sugar and vanilla. I generally love DDC’s beers, but found this disappointing.

Excellent appearance. Head production is modest, but retention and lacing are excellent.
Strong aroma, showing every bit of the malt base, coffee, and vanilla, along with strong banana notes from the yeast.
Thick feel and full bodied, pretty spot on for the style.
Strong roasty bitterness, every bit as much as in regular Peche Mortel. Waves of coffee flavor mid-sip, lasting throughout th finish. Moderately nutty; additional tasting notes of caramel, bitter chocolate, cream, and vanilla.
While this is a lovely beer, I don't see it as an improvement over base Peche Mortel. The vanilla doesn't really stand out, and it lacks the sweetness necessary to really evoke Dulce de Leche. It is, however, a fantastic imperial coffee milk stout.

Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head and light lacing.
Smells of coffee and chocolate.
Initially tastes of toasted malt, coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Sweet caramel tastes come out as your glass warms.
Medium body with light carbonation. Lush syrupy mouthfeel.
This is an excellent nuanced and powerful sipper!

Sweeter than the regular peche for sure. Smells sugar until room temperature. balanced drinkability by big roast finish that lingers. Peche day varieties.

Bottled 24 02. Pours a dark, black color. Creamy brown, caramel head, with mild retention. Good lacing. Coffee, roasted malt aroma. Tastes coffee, finishes bitter. Very mildly sweet. Overall great variant that lets the base shine.
