On tap at the brewery on Montreal. Pours a beautiful dark brown in color with a frothy off white head on top and plenty of lacing as you drink. Aroma is toasty, earthy with notes of chocolate and coffee. Taste is the same, with some fruity citrus to round it out. Definitely getting the roast side of the dark lager spectrum, not a lot of dark fruitiness though. Maybe a bit more in the aftertaste, and as it warms, with hints of prune and raisin. This is medium bodied and drinks creamy, finishing a touch dry. Lovely schwarzbier. Prost!
