On tap at Dieu du Ciel. Served in a teku. Hazy deep orange. Nice white head and beautiful lacing. Smells citrusy with an ample dose of garlic. Some cracker and toasted malts. Tastes of sweet orange up front. Becomes more bitter and garlicky before the hops give way to a sweet caramel malt profile. Ample bitterness. Medium light body. Well carbonated. Simple and a little disappointing at first. As it warms I realize it’s not made to be a hop bomb and I appreciate its subtleties.

341ml bottle poured into tulip 8/7/17 some hoser gave me the bottle
Hazy bright yellow liquid with enough clarity to see the stream of bubbles coming off the bottom feeding a finger of foam. Lots of canned peaches, berries, mango, and Double Bubble gum seems strange but is hard too shake after I found it but works well. Some pine and lemon rind in the mouth I didn't smell and its a step back from the tropical nose. Medium weight and foams up but the bottles gone in a flash. I can't recall any other DDC pale ales but I'm not surprised these guys would nail yet another style.....

A - Hazy burnt orange. Two finger off white head. Good lace rings and a film of retention.
S - Tropical fruit. Grass, mango. Intense fruit syrup.
T - Nice tropical fruit juice. Rich, sweet fruit. Mango. Pretty good showing of Mosaic. Malt was there but definitely played backup to the hops, but always nice to see flavours incorporated properly.
M - Bitterness was pretty strong. Mouth coating feel with good dryness and medium body.
O/D - Good stuff. Hops really popped and had malt profile too. Delicious stuff.

On-tap: Poured a light hazy beige color ale with nice pure white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of dry hoppy notes with light rubber notes. Taste is dominated by dry floral notes with some light rubbery notes and light fruity mango notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but light rubbery notes are not my favorite.

Pours a greenish, dirty gold color (chill haze). Good starting head that settles to fine layer of bubbles. Leaves ring lace after each sip.
Gorgeous fresh, wet-hop aroma--lots of of grapefruit rind.
This is a beer that's all about the hop. Sure, there's a pleasant pale malt start, but "le Houblon Mosaïc" takes over quickly and aggressively. Lots of spicy bitterness in the swallow. The body is elevated as is the bubbles. It's like an IPA without the alcohol.
