Gyle # BB150405...
Appearance: deep dark brown, good clarity, creamy layer of dark tan foam, good head retention, lace
Aroma: chocolate, malt, passion-fruity hops, hint of burnt caramel
Flavor: dry malt backbone with a balanced roast edge, then a resinous herbal hop flavor combined with a light fruitiness, finishes dry with a roasty aftertaste and a lingering gentle hop/roast bitterness
Mouthfeel: medium body, fine carbonation, soft texture though on the crisp side, slight astringency
Other comments: Definitely one of my favorite of the beers I've tried from this brewery. Highly flavorful, but still very quaffable.
