This beer was created on June 13th, 2001. It is composed of six varieties of cereals and two varieties of hops. This beer is named in honor of my wife’s ancestor; Louis Bariteau, also known as Lamarche, who arrived in New France on June 19th 1665 and married Mary Vara in Chambly in 1671. He was a soldier in the “Compagnie du Sieur de Chambly”, in the regiment of Carignan.

Pours ruby-tan and clear with two finger white head that slowly drops to a thick film.
The aroma is that if sweet malt, a touch of molasses, mild fruity esters with a medicinal bite at the end.
This beer has a rich flavor that follows the nose as well as a feel substantial feel with soft carbonation. Overall this one is drinkable, tasty and balanced. It is a little malt-sweet/fruity for the ghost of a perfect bitter that floats in my head (and may not even really exist), but I'd gladly have it again.

Nice luminous clear amber color with a nice head.
carbonation is mellow,but active
Smell: malty, caramel sweetness
Taste: woody malt and caramel, this is well balanced amber beer, very tasty, smal bitterness here and there
Mouthfeel: full body amber, perfect texture, not thin or thick a bit creamy

Enjoyed at the brew pub. Average red, though light, with a balanced bitterness and malt. Good bitterness, citrus. Amber with white head and lacey. Easy drinking, carmelized malt.,a drop toastiness. just a little different for this style. A tad cold and perfect carbonation.
