same recipe as the regular cerna golden pils thats on tap, but just with a shorter fermenting time. the result is a full flavored beer with much less alcohol and a touch of residual sugar sweetness from incomplete fermentation. it pours clear and thick, bright yellow in color with a nice healthy warm glow and a ton of white suds on top. the nose was all malt, a little sweet again, but also crisp at the same time. flavor confirms what the nose hinted at, a sweeter pilsener beer with a lot of flavor. the malts are crackery and would be really dry if it wasnt for the left over sugar. i actually liked this a lot more than i thought i would, and i would suggest it to anyone who has to drive home or who just wants to try a good brew without the buzz. plenty of body for such a pale beer, and well carbonated. everything seems to be in balance here, and i was quite impressed with this offering.

Enjoyed at the brewpub.
Clear, dark gold in colour with a creamy white cap. Good head retention with lots of foamy lace clinging to the glass. Sweet aroma, floral hops and grain husk character. Moderate bitterness with tons of cereal grain taste, floral hops, and a spicy finish. Light to medium bodied with lowish carbonation, smooth and mellow rather than crisp. Really drinkable and quite tasty.

Tap from the brewpub: Poured a Clear golden color pils with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet bready malt with a light dry hoppy finish. Taste is very refreshing with nice cereal notes and very subtle dry hops. Body is fuller then expected with good carbonation. Very well done and it doesn't show that alcohol is below 4%.
