Our brew master’s tribute to the ale that made Burton on Trent famous. An English style copper colored pale ale with medium body and a dry finish.

A - Poured with one finger of white head on top of a clear, dark-golden body. The head settles fairly quickly and leaves only light lace.
S - Light, bready malt with some spicy hops.
T - Lots of dry, toasty malt flavor up front. Some floral bitterness comes out in the middle with a hint of red apple. Finishes with a bit of malt sweetness and some more floral hop character.
M - Medium-thick body, low carbonation, and a somewhat sweet finish.
D - A fairly well done interpretation of the style. A good balance between malt and hops with good drinkability and a touch of yeast character for authenticity.

Pours a nice reddish amber, but this has a very small weak head. The smell is also disappointing with only a slight malt aroma to this. The taste has a very hoppy and citrusy flavor to it.Grapefruit is very much apart of this flavor. The m/f is light and well balanced, although this does end alittle too bitter for my taste. This is a pretty good beer, but nothing great.
