Smooth and very velvety. Dark roasted malts, flaked barley, and select hops are blended together to create this traditional Irish stout. Outstanding!

Ordered a local brew for dinner at an SBC restaurant. This was a week stout as far as stouts go. Head had completely dissipated into thin lacing upon arriving at the table. Smelled of light coffee and caramel. Mouthfeel was lightly carbonated almost flat. Taste was not what I expected. Light coffee undertones with a very mild milky after taste. Won't be ordering this one again.

anorexic for a stout, i will give the guy before me that however i found this to be a pleasant easy drinking stout.
it looked like a stout should black with a thick cola colored head.
it smelled average, some robust carmel malts with a little coffee in there too.
tastes like a light stout, but the flavor is nice and full. roasted carmel and cream.
felt great on the mouth, airy, creamy and easy to drink. it was like a microbrewed guinness.

A bunch of us visited the SBC brewpub in Milford.
I stuck to the IPA, which was pretty good. Some of the other guys tried the house sampler: which consisted of 5 or 6 samplers of the SBC range.
I (as the token BA)ended up being given the stouts as nobody liked it ! and I soon saw why.
This beer looks the part; a good black colour with an amber head. But after that is where the trouble starts. The body, taste and mouth feel are definitely less than robust - I've had porters with more body than this. There is little or no flavour - maybe my taste buds were hampered by the IPA - but I doubt it.
This is the most anorexic stout I've ever tried !

Pours a jet black with a tan two finger head. The smell is very faint with only a slight coffee aroma. The taste is very hoppy with some coffee flavors to it.The m/f is light, too light for this style. This is a below average stout. It has almost none of the characteristics of this type of beer and I would look other places the next time I want a stout. This is a beer were looks can be deceiving.
