On tap at the brewpub, listed as 6.1%.

Pours a clear orange, some light brown hues, a touch of amber, thick slightly off white head forms and settles down to a medium ring, a touch of lacing.

Smell is nice, very malty, some caramel, iron, bread and biscuit, light bit fruit, some floral, deep and layered, nice clean aroma.

Taste is similar, rich and malty, grains, some biscuit, caramel, bread, raisin, lightly fruity, very clean in the finish, a very nice profile.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. A pretty solid marzen.

I lucked out on my Montreal pub crawl I was running into a Marzen at most brew pubs...I love the style as I’m a big fan of malty Tutonic beers. This one was a nice rendition...proper color orange-amber...nice frothy cap and texture on the palate...chewy malts but in a medium light body...aroma and tastes of Munich malts and herbal German hops...leaves a sweet bready-fruity impression...a good Marzen for froth quaffers...I recommend it.

A paler than normal light red colour with a small head that leaves nice lacing as well. The aroma is buttery with some definate english fruit notes in there as well. This tastes very english at first with some buttery fruit notes up front. This beer definately has a nice malt backbone, and when the juicy, fresh hops kick in in the finish it makes for a very nice brew. I'm not really sure how much of a Marzen this is, but it's a damn good take on the style. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth and the drinkability is damn good.
