Served in a tiny stem, 10oz, wine looking, beer glass.
A- thin head disappeared in seconds. Really only a tiny ring left. liquid is a nice, almost cherry wood, hazy brown. Looked totally flat after five sips. No lacing.
S-Really Smells Like light cranberry juice without the sourness. A bit of wet dirt. Gets nicer as it warms.
T- Wow, this is better. Like a light barleywine! Caramel toffee malt, good quality, tasty, woody, green, hops. Glad i left the office to try this. Alcohol is pretty noticeable and reminds me of a strong red wine...
M- Low carbonation which still manages to hit you with whatever aggressive prickliness it can muster. Medium body is edging on syrupy. Not sure if it's really dry. Thinking this is more astringent. Nice foam if you swish it around.
D- Good. Tastes good but one (or maybe two in a whole night of drinking) is enough.
Had plenty beers waiting for me in the office fridge but dropped in expressly for this one. Not blown away but glad I tried it. Another good Cheval Blanc beer for me to add to my drank bank.
