Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a medium bubbly off-white head with average retention. Aroma of corn with something funky that is definitely not hemp is just plain gross. Taste is also identifiable by this weird combination between corn and some funky spice/smoke? Carbonation is way too high, much like drinking a soda straight from the can. Not a beer that I want to go back anytime soon.

Strange label, a drawn up picture of two guys with mugs. Québec patriotism doesn't really come to mind by looking at this one, maybe they didn't want to rip off Unibroue's 1837 concept too much...
Apprearance: Amber with strawberry hues, a fluffy clay colored head that vanished after a sip or two.
Smell: Grainy sweet aroma, with a little herbal hop finish. Reminded me of an iced tea.
Taste: Low to mid carbonation, it feels sparkly on your tongue, but nowhere else. Caramel flavor, and an acrid, almost ashy hop finish that didn't really please me. Needs more malt too.
There's no info on bottling date or anything, my guess is that this Beer was sitting on the shelf too long and/or was a botched batch of Coeur d'Or that they re-labeled. A rare faux-pas from an otherwise decent brewery.

A catch-all red made by the interesting brewery Le Chaudron. A bit cidery yet fresh, found at Le Goblet. Bit of yeast, lots of malts in finish. Drinkable at the end of a humid night. Sweet aftertaste. Average beer, not unpleasant, not worth seeking out.
