Brewed in collaboration with La Succursale. English translation from the brewery:
"La Mont Rose is a sour haskap (honeysuckle) beer. It is distinguished by its very intense fuchsia color and its dense foam due to lactobacilli. Throughout your tasting, this little fruit will surprise you."
Huge starting head which recedes fairly quickly. The end result is a couple of lumps of foam in the center of the glass. Multiple small spots for lace. The liquid is clear with a peach-pink color.
The smell is semisweet and not very sour. Some alcohol. Flowery.
The taste is clean and a touch more sour with a little bit of of saltiness. The body is watery thin. The carbonation is also quite low. There's a flowery cranberry flavor up front. The swallow is predominantly light sourness with the salt coming forward. The aftertaste is brief. Overall, a refreshing if fleeting Gose.
